What is TAHSC?

Tayside already has a first class reputation in biomedical research and the newly formed Tayside Academic Health Sciences Centre hopes to add to this.

TAHSC will bring together, within a single organisational framework, the existing functions of the Clinical Research Centre, the Tayside Clinical Trials Unit, the Tissue Bank, and the joint functions of the NHS Research & Development office and the University's Research & Innovation Services (in relation to clinical research). This strategic alignment will bring greater efficiency to research management and governance across the University and NHS.

The University of Dundee and NHS Tayside work in partnership to provide a one-stop-shop service where your study will be costed appropriately and efficiently to ensure we provide value for money.

We pride ourselves on attention to detail, speed, professionalism and cost effectiveness and our aim is to position ourselves as a key partner of choice with industry.

In line with the national guidance on clinical trials, all commercial studies will be administered through the Research & Development Office using the standard model Clinical Trial Agreement (mCTA) for Scotland.  We provide a professional service with rapid contract turnaround and high quality data.
